From FCPX to ProTools and others DAWS
After having sent two feature length documentaries to audio post-production, I can say that this app meets the expectations we can have for this kind of workflow.
Since last version, we can choose to reference or embed audio files, consolidate media with handles…etc.
The file created is AAF, not OMF.
In FCPX if you set a role for each audio channel, then audio engineer will retrieve named-tracks in ProTools based upon the roles names.
Its way better than that we had in FCP7.
Also good to know, support team is great, you can check the forum on their website for more.
